Register late and take your chances! Table 33 has recently fired up with these sharks all sharing the felt:
The only upside is that when tables start to break down, these high number tables will break first!

Players are back on the felt following the break and the green chips are gone.
For those who were asking, this is a Best Stack Forward event, so players who bag in Flight A can fire again in Flight B without automatically forfeiting their bagged chips. If they bag twice, the biggest stack goes to Day 2.

Level 4 is done and players are taking their first break of the day. The green chips are coming out of play during this break.
Before the buzzer, Angel Modica bet the flop of and after some thought, got a call from the big blind in seat 1.
The turn elicited a check from seat 1 and a shove from Angel, who was all-in for 16,650. After some additional think-time, seat 1 made the call, showing
for top/top.
Angel produced for the overpair and the lead. He had to sweat the river, which was a safe
. With that pot, he doubled up to about 70,000. Set 1 was left with ~7,000.
Yesterday was Angel’s Birthday and he was the chip leader in the Deeper Stack event headed into the dinner break, but late in the day, after midnight actually, he took three bad beats that put him on the rail short of the final table.

Blinds are up and the Big Blind Ante is in play.
Before the increase, Brownie “BW” Garrett jammed for 22,600 on the river with a board of and less than 6,000 in the pot.
Istvan Szabo (button) plopped out a stack of ~30,000, but not all his chips, so was effectively just calling the all-in, not moving in himself.
Mitchell Mantin (bb) gave it some thought, then mucked his hand. Istvan tabled for quadzilla and BW mucked his hand. Since it was an all-in situation, the hand had to be shown, so the dealer rolled it over:
for nothing but air.
BW hit the rail and Istvan chipped up to about 55,000.

With his win last night in the Seniors event (for the fourth time!) Barry Leventhal recorded his 8th win at Borgata, moving into a tie for second-most with Mike McGuinness. Interestingly, all eight of Mike’s wins have come outside of Open series, mostly DeepStacks.
They’re both now chasing the leader Abraham Korotki, who holds the record with 9 Borgata titles.
Mike did pocket $5,000 in the first Super Survivor a couple of days ago, so he’s already boosted his bankroll this series.

Although this Deepest Stack event wasn’t on last Winter’s schedule and there is no ‘defending champion’, there was a Monster Stack event in this time slot.
The Monster stack had two starting flights, like this one, but had a larger buy-in ($350+$50) and lower guarantee ($150,000). Nevertheless, it drew a whopping 683 entrants and created a prize pool in excess of $231,000.
The eventual winner was Michael Rossitto, who was the chip leader when the final four decided on a chip-based adjusted payout agreement. He got more than $38,000 and the trophy, which was and remains his first win here at Borgata.

The first of two flights of the new Deepest Stack Double Header event is underway here in the Event Center. This new event gives players 40,000 chips to start and all levels are 30 minutes long.
Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of level 11 (about 4:45pm). Players who bust out can try again in this flight if registration is still open, or try again in Fight B, which starts at 4pm.
They’ll play 16 levels today, then bag up for the night. The survivors of both starting fights will return at 12 noon Tuesday for Day 2 and play until a winner is determined.
This is a new event this year, taking the place of the Monster Stack, so there’s no Defending Champion.
