The PLO players are back from their first break of the day and the field continues to grow.
On the turn with a board reading , John Lytle was all-in. The table folded around and he got no action, saying “good, you don’t get to see this bluff” as he mucked his hand.
John has two Borgata titles to his credit. He won the SixMax during the 2016 Spring Poker Open, then took down the 2017 Fall Poker Open Kick-Off event for more than $114,000 (adjusted payout).

Dawn Wilensky is the only female playing today’s PLO event (so far). Of course that could still change with late registration open until at least 8:30pm.
In addition to winning the 2015 Bar Poker Open NLH Progressive KO Bounty event, Dawn also has a second Borgata title from the 2018 Spring Poker Open Ladies NLH event.

Yes, back in 2015 during the Borgata Poker Open, there was a Crazy Pineapple/No Limit Hold’em mixed event. It drew 69 entrants and the eventual winner was Dennis Zollo. First place was good for just over $7,000.
How’s this for a coincidence: Gary Kosakowski finished 3rd in that event, earning $2,409!
*Please note that this was the second time Borgata ran the CP/NLH tournament. The first was during the 2015 Summer Poker Open. It drew 60 entrants and was won by Anthony LoBue ($6,111).

Among the small field of Pot Limit Omaha players is a Borgata PLO champion. Gary Kosakowski won the PLO event here during the 2017 Summer Poker Open. At one point during the heads-up battle against Anna Antimony, she had him by a 12:1 chip lead. Gary managed to battle back to take the win and his first Borgata Open title.
There were 92 entries that year and the final 9 got paid. Gary earned $10,933 for the win.

Today’s third trophy event is getting underway and Pot Limit Omaha is the game for players who just can’t get enough action.
Players get 20,000 chips to start and levels are 30 minutes for the first ten, then increase to 40 minutes for the rest of the tournament. Late registration and unlimited re-entry are available until the start of level 9 (at least 9:30, or after their dinner break).
This is a two-day event, so they’ll play until 18 players or about 2am, then bag up for the night. Day 2 begins at 12 noon Saturday.
George Medrano claimed his first Borgata title in this event last year, besting the field of 141 entrants and taking 1st place for $12,105.
