Level 12 is winding down, but Mike McGuinness is simply up and down.

Mike McGuinness at ease. Mike Nihill, who ran up a stack in Event 1, is doing well, here with 250,000 as he receives the pitch from the dealer.
McGuinness first threatens to, then surpasses AZ for the chip lead, shooting up to up to 440,000 earlier in 12.
However, he’s taken a hit and appear to be around 350,000. In one hand he’s allowed the turn and river by a short stack, but is somehow waiting with check backs.
No such bad luck for AZ, meanwhile, who is setting the pace with 450,000 as we move to 1000/2000.

Post registration, the stacks simply have to combine, that’s how it works.
Dominic Picinic has held steady with 270,000, but the new number to shoot for is over 400,000.
McGuinness has 300,000 now, as well.

Players are returning from a short break now. The floor is reminding players that there is a penalty for not leaving at least one bounty chip on their stack.
Before the break, action on 35 was hot. Sal B. talked politics while Corbin Avery tried “not to go there.” Martin Matranca gave up what looked like two kings on an ace high flop, and had to sweat out a series of checks to see if he had folded right, if cautiously, multiway.
Z went out to Matranca, who got a bounty and some chips back when his valued Z’s deuces.

While Dominic Picinic has been steadily climbing, Anish Grover on outer table 42 has been gathering as well.
He just passed 250,00 with a loose but necessary call, taking a tournament life.

Grover has one of the biggest stacks so far. Here he’s lost in thought, and time is called in a dramatic flop pause.
Anish had isolated a limp from the field at 4/8 to 3200, and got a call. He put out a big cbet on a dangerous of 6,000, clearly looking for a fold.
Instead, his opponent stuck in a check-raise all in to 22,800. Anish decided he was priced in against draws – and did have a gutter – with .
However, after he made the call, his opponent revealed the trap, for a likely double.
The deck disagreed, a ten on the river brought the straight and the bounty to Grover.
Mike is on Maurice Hawkins’ table. The Hawk is doing well, with over 170,000, and is very likely to clash with the active and unafraid McGuinness.

Registration is complete, and with 1,073 entries, our event has very nearly matched the BWPO18 Bounty Deep Stack.
It’s all BWPO regs on 13. In this hand, Frank Funaro gets trapped and doubles up a shortie on the turn, forming top pair good kicker, but completely crushed by top two.
Left with just 11,000, Frank seems to catch a break with and able to get action multiway. However, Soukha Kachittavong gets the pot when
hits the turn. Frank is out.

Men the Master check shoves into the button and examines his cards, all while using chopsticks to finish off his sandwich.
No call – Men’s TPTK is not challenged.

Nearby, disbelief: Greg C., standing at left, had gotten it in good on the queen high flop with those kings. The table discusses what they saw…

…as Wooyang Lin, now completely nonplussed, had called it off with bottom underpair, doubling through Greg spectacularly when the inevitable deuce on the river filled him up. Joseph Fragale, right, looks like he’s still trying to figure out the hand.
Greg is now in the red zone but alive, as he covered Wooyang.

We take up coverage of the Black Chip Bounty here in level 6. The guarantee has been easily met with two levels of registration to go here in a packed Event Center.
The biggest stacks are over 130,000, with Picinic likely the leader at the moment. Several players seem to have captured at least three bounties so far.
We resume in fifteen.
