Vinicius ‘Viny’ Lima had the biggest climb of the final six players, starting play at the bottom of the chip counts. At the end, it was the youngest player, Viny, at only 24 years old, against the oldest, David Farah, who is twice his age at 48 years young.
After playing for more than nine and a half hours, it was apparent that both players were feeling the strain. Viny’s cards heated up at the right time, giving him the best of it when heads-up so he could apply steady pressure to his opponent and wear him down.
Winning $728,430, *including a seat in the Baccarat Crystal Tournament of Champions, along with a Hublot Big Bang Steel Watch, and the WPT Champions Cup trophy was enough to give Viny Lima enough energy to celebrate with his railbirds after the victory, despite the late hour.
