Event 17
Charity Series of Poker
Level 8 (400/800/100)
Total Entrants: 80
The Charity Series of Poker is putting on a fun show in the Borgata Event Center. The entry period is almost at an end and the rebuy frenzy is less than 10 minutes from concluding. Any players looking to get in the action needs to do so ASAP and join the CSOP party.
As a reminder, there is a $1,000 prize for the chip leader at the end of the entry period. Another $1,000 is set aside for the most entries. We’ll find out the answers to both soon. In the meantime, here are some faces enjoying their CSOP experience.

Former Borgata Poker Boss and all-around good guy Tommy Bates (pictured) is crushing early. Bates tried to give his chips away but the deck refused to cooperate. In a four-way all-in, Bates flopped a flush and collected the chips to boost his stack.
It doesn’t appear Bates will win the $1,000 prize for most entries this evening but he is the favorite to win $1,000 for the chip lead at the end of registration. The cage is open until 8:45 pm. Come up to the Event Center and gamble for the sake of charity.

Level 2 (75/150)

There is a $1,000 prize for the most re-entries tonight in the CSOP but Tyler Patterson and Carolyn Wilson aren’t focused on that. The couple is engaged in a high stakes last longer wager. Whoever is the last one standing in tonight’s CSOP event dodges a full year of customer service phone calls.
Say goodbye to the cell phone company, airline, and dry cleaning calls just for being the last remaining member of the household to stay alive tonight. The cause of sanity is at play tonight alongside the Community Food Bank of New Jersey.
Good luck to Carolyn and Tyler!

Play is underway for the annual Charity Series of Poker event at the Borgata. Registration and UN-LIMITED RE-ENTRY is available until the start of Level 9 (8:45 pm). There are $1,000 cash prizes for the most entries and chip leader at the end of the registration period.
Levels are 15 minutes from 1-8 before going to 20 for the remainder of the tournament. Starting stacks weigh in at 10,000.
Come join the most fun tournament available at the Borgata this year and support the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. There is a bar available for all participants just inside the Event Center. Jump in the action and meet famed poker pros and media personalities.
The 14th Charity Series of Poker event starts this evening, Saturday, January 27th, at 6:30pm inside the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.
This year’s event runs into the night before the Borgata Winter Open Main Event. This year’s beneficiary is the Community Food Bank of New Jersey.
CFBNJ is a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting hunger and poverty in New Jersey. For every dollar raised, the CFBNJ provides three meals to people in the New Jersey area including children, seniors, and families.
Renowned players expected to attend include Matt Glantz, Tyler Patterson, Lexy Gavin, and CSOP founder Matt Stout.
$100 of every $220 buy-in to the unlimited re-entry tournament will go directly to CFBNJ. The tournament starts off at 6:30pm but the fun will start long before the cards are in the air.
There is a $1,000 cash bonus to the player who re-enters the most times before registration closes. The chip leader at that time will also receive a $1,000 cash prize, so be ready to gamble!
We expect to see a lot of our friends in the tournament including big-name pros, poker fans, and Eric “@BarstoolNate” Nathan of Barstool Sports. We hope you can make it out and help us push the donations higher throughout the evening.
