Tyler Patterson

Tyler Patterson is making his 2018 WPO debut early today.  The traveling poker pro celebrated a birthday a couple of days ago, so we wanted to wish him a happy belated here in the blog.  He doesn’t look a bit older than when he won his only Borgata title back in 2010:

Tyler Patterson – winning the $350 NLH in September 2010

Although he won more than $270,000 with his WSOP bracelet back in 2014, his best score was when he won the WPT bestBet Bounty Scramble Main Event in 2015 for $375,270.  His career earnings have crossed the $2.3 million mark.

The second flight of the Almighty Million is off to a slow start, but there’s no reason to rush when the starting stacks are so deep.  Players entering in this level will be sitting down with 333,000 big blinds!

Robert Nadolny

Nevertheless, Robert Nadolny is back on the felt early today after cashing in yesterday’s Monster Stack.  He’s also wearing his one Hockey Jersey that doesn’t adhere to his rule about only wearing players who have played for the NJ Devils at some point.

Joe Sakic played his entire 21-year National Hockey League career with the Quebec Nordiques/Colorado Avalanche franchise.

Event 11B: Almighty Million Flight B Begins

POSTED BY: kaelaine

|CATEGORY: 2018, Event 11, Event 11 (Day 1B)

$400+$50 Almighty Stack NLH
$1,000,000 Guaranteed

Level 1:  Blinds 75/150

The second of five starting flights has just put cards in the air in the Event Center.  Players start with an ‘Almighty Stack’ of 100,000 chips.  This flight will follow the same flight plan as yesterday’s Flight A.  They will play 17 levels, all of which are 30 minutes long.  This fight will be wrapping up about 7:30pm.

This is a best stack forward event and features unlimited re-entries through the first 12 levels.  That means players who bust out can re-enter and in addition, players who bag chips at the end of any flight can play any subsequent flight as well. If they bag chips again, they will take only their best stack into Day 2, forfeiting any other bagged chips.  Late registration is also available until the start of level 13, which should fall at about 4:45pm.

Flight C runs later today at 4pm.  The final two flights run Thursday at 10am and 5pm.  Survivors of all five starting flights will come together on Friday at 12 noon for Day 2 and the Almighty Stack will conclude on Saturday, beginning at 12 noon.

Event 11A: Klein, Lobel Move Ahead

Wach and Grabel are still strong but fallen off the pace.

Daniel Lobel just cooled off an opener with a dominated hand, flopping top two and turning full to push past 450,000 on table 19.

However, the real story is Andrew Klein, who is sitting just a tad smugly with 750,000 on table 5.

Still hoping: Robert Conte, on Lobel’s table, is hanging on to a starting stack. There’s still some time.
