Mike Marder was playing a short stack for much of the night but that is no longer the case. He got his last seven big blinds all in holding against the
of his opponent.
There was an ace in the window followed by a seven and another seven on the turn. Marder improved to a full house to double up and just a few hands later he woke up with a monster.
Marder raised and two short stacked players moved all in. It folded back to Marder who made the call turning over against he
and
of his opponents.
His pocket aces held up to earn him a double knockout and he is now up to 2,800,000 with 62 Event 1 players left in the hunt.

As the Event 1 field thins down we notice a very familiar face is still in the hunt. Ralph Macri has been flying a bit under the radar but he has quietly been amassing chips.
Macri is now up to 2,200,000 and he is no stranger to this very event. His largest career score came in last years Borgata Winter Poker Open when he was part of an adjusted payout deal.
He was third in chips at the time the deal was struck and took home over $204,000. There are just 70 players remaining and once again Macri is making another deep Event 1 run.

Since picking up pocket aces against the pocket kings of Anthony Conti, Vinny Pahuja has caught fire.
He continues to rake in pot after pot and is starting to distance himself from the Event 1 field. Pahuja is now well out in front with 5,800,000 and is showing no signs of slowing down.
Uke Dauti sits in second with about 4,200,000 and Sonny Kim rounds out the top three with 3,700,000. Yuebin Guo has been sitting behind a big stack for much of the night and is playing just over 3,000,000.

With the action back on Conti he moves all in for about 1,000,000 and Pahuja snap calls. Conti turns over but he says the bad news when Pahuja shows

Dan DiZenzo got his last 600,000 all in preflop and Matt Ferrante made the call. DiZenzo showed and it was a classic coin flip against the
of Ferrante.
There was a king in the window on the flop to give Ferrante the lead. The turn
and river
were no help to DiZenzo and he was sent to the rail.
Ferrante chips up to 1,700,000 and although DiZenzo was eliminated he says he might hop into Black Chip Bounty NLH event which now has more than 1,100 entries.
