It was evident from very early in the tournament that Henry Wade Meacham had what it took to go all the way. His ability to be involved in many pots and never lose his head – or all of his stack – is notable. His attitude at the table is also very calm and strong. Meacham is a winner. Officially he takes 3rd and $37,100 as part of an adjusted payout, but the trophy and what it means is his. His crew, No Mercy, have a number of trophies and cheered him on throughout a long night of poker that only resolved just before 5 am.
Congratulations, Henry Wade Meacham!

The massive move, the demise of Daniel DiZenzo’s tournament, and the early morning hour changed the mood of the three remaining players. As the final seconds of the level signaled the three excitedly talked.
Big stack Gerber wanted money, but Meacham and his supportive rail wanted the trophy. As for Stubing, having asked for an agreement for the last hour, he was simply ready to go along.
In the end, and rapidly, everyone got what they wanted. An Adjusted Payout was made.

Stephen Gerber takes first place, $40,100, but not the hardware. Stephen played a great tournament and was very hard on his opponents. The big 34dd move was not the only one he showed. Congratulations, Stephen.

From the button, Stephen Gerber open to 325,000 and picked up the sticky Henry Meacham.
After Daniel DiZenzo folded the big blind, the action went bet call, bet call, and then overshove for 3,800,000.
A massive confrontation between the chip leaders with implications for the money and the deal that just wouldn’t work itself out.
Meacham stared at the board:
{th} {5s} {2h} {9s} {qs}
What did it mean?
After a reasonable time in the tank, Meacham let it go. However, his rail and Jake Stubing wasn’t ready to.
“Show the bluff!” several said.
Gerber obliged, during over {4d} {3d}.
The open ended draw on the flop, now the nut low.
Meanwhile, Daniel DiZenzo, after a great tournament, never with a huge stack, has finished 4th. He takes $17,291.
The commotion of the bluff and Daniel’s departure helped trigger an adjusted payout. Details to follow.

Staying active, Meacham found himself in another hand.
On {8h} {2d} {tc} {5c}, DiZenzo bet 400,000 and was met with a raise.
The card added draws to pairs and floats, and it wasn’t clear what story Meacham was telling.
It was clearly a tough spot, though.
DiZenzo let discretion guide him, and folded to preserve his 1,600,000 stack.
No room for mistakes with ten bigs.

Still smarting from Meacham’s flush and painful value extraction, Stubing has started an full scale offensive. He’s shoved three of the past five hands, getting the first two through and pushing his stack to 1,600,000.
Still short.
However, on the third he again ran into Meacham, who made the call with two nines.
Stubing sighed and stood up again, as we have seen – his ace-rag was in bad shape.
However, as in the AQ hand versus Barsanti, Stubing found help on the board, and trips sealed a double up through his previous tormentor.
That’s not the only fork of this offensive though. Stubiing has brought up making an agreement after almost every recent hand.
But the tired table remains resolute:
No deal.
Stubing – 3,200,000
Meacham – 6,400,000

- Daniel DiZenzo – 2,300,000
- Jake Stubing – 1,400,000
Gerber held the lead and Stubing a solid stack until Meacham rivered a flush with position and suited rags. Stubing paid a significant value bet, and stood up in frustration.
Fortunes have changed. Meacham is back where he was hours ago – looking strong.

Now short, Jason Rosengarten just made a stand with an ace-rag, only to find Meacham’s Big Slick waiting for him and his last million.
The ace king turned a pair and Rosengarten was left drawing dead. Rosengarten takes $11,443 for sixth.
Meacham continues to return from the bottom.
In fact, he then took out the outspoken Bladimir Mercedes, raise calling ace nine preflop and busting the Dealmaker who had gone with a weak king.
For a great run to fifth, Bladimir takes home $13,986.

Stephen Gerber couldn’t fade the shorties as level 30 closed.
In one pot, he couldn’t crack Meacham’s deuces, giving the sixth place player new life and a 2,670,000 stack – almost exactly average.
Then, as the players were walking away for a short break – which also nearly couldn’t be agreed upon – Rosengarten min raised the button to 200,000. Meacham let the small go, but DiZenzo took the price and called.
The action was unusual. On {ks} {5d} {9c}, Gerber did not find a continuation bet, but on the drawing {8d}, he fired.
The wheels turned in DiZenzo’s head and he made the call.
Now the {6h} dropped on 5th. DiZenzo open shoved his last 815,000.
The card could certainly improve a big blind range, but Gerber could be wide from the button.
In any case, Gerber couldn’t find a fold, and paid off the {jx} {7x}.
DiZenzo is now near average, and Gerber takes a hit back to under 5,000,000.

The chips Barsanti-Chou had picked up from the spiraling Meacham went straight into the middle versus Jake Stubing.
It was an emotional hand, with Stubing leaping up and swearing. He’d run a big ace into two kings.
Once the flop came out though, that nearly thirty percent equity came through. Now Barsanti-Chou let out an expletive.
The pot was big. 3,800,000 shipped to the previously frustrated Stubing.
Shortly after, the chip magnet Gerber swallowed up her stack when she went with a weak ace and couldn’t get there.
Barsanti-Chou takes seventh for $9,154. Gerber has a big lead and over 7,000,000.
