Follow this hand from beginning to end. It happened exactly this way, as hard as it may be to believe!
Bartholomew Golik raises to 280,000.
Bill Miller calls.
David Walters calls.
The flop comes {6d}{3h}{7s}.
David bets 300,000.
Bartholomew calls.
Bill raises to 1,000,000.
David goes all in and Bartholomew goes all in.
David: {7h}{6h}
Bill: {3c}{3d}
Bartholomew: {7d}{7c}
At this point, Bartholomew has flopped top set, Bill has flopped bottom set and David has two pair and a runner-runner flush draw.
The turn is {8h}. Uh oh. Now David needs another heart. Any of the hearts that could make quads or pair the board are already visible.
The river is the …. {Ah}.
The table erupts. Runner-runner flush beats two flopped sets. David triples up, Bartholomew gets the side pot (but loses a million in the hand) and Bill is left with just a few hundred thousand.
