Kal Alwan just picked up a massive 300,000 pot and is still counting chips. He’s busted a player in 20th, and we are now hand for hand.. The hands looked like this at the end:
Kal: {Kh}{5d}{7c}{Kc}
Opponent: {Ad}{8d}{Qh}{Ac}
Board: {3c}{10c}{5c}{6d}{6c}.
Kal picked up a flush on the flop and improved it by the river.
Event 9 – ‘Pot Limit Omaha– High’
Level 11: Blinds 800/1,500
Total Entries: 130
Remaining Players: 23
Average Stack: 85,000
Mo Bachara doubled through another player with the {As}{7s}{Ad}{2c} versus {2d}{Qc}{3c}{Qd} on a board of {Ah}{Jh}{10c}{8s}{7h}. The set of aces was enough to bring Mo up to 53,000 and his opponent down to only 25,000.
Mo is from Riverdale, NY and tells us that he’s on his honeymoon. His honeymoon? We looked around and didn’t see his newlywed. “She’s up in her room,” says Mo. Up in her room, on your honeymoon? “Hey, if she’s OK with it, I’m OK with it,” laughs Mo. A nice cash in this one would make a great honeymoon gift.
There are 23 players left and 18 pay.
