Iverson Cotton “Heisenberg” Snuffer tells us about a great hand where he put a guy all in with his {8x}{8x} versus the opponent’s {Ax}{Kx} on a flop of {10x}{10x}{6x}, and the eights held up to put Heisenberg up to 2,700,000 and the apparent chip lead.
There are now 27 players left at three tables. There’s no redraw until 18, and then again at 10.

Among the final four tables is a player named Andrew Klein, and long-time Borgata tournament grinders should know all about this player. He’s won two Borgata events, including the Bounty event in Fall 2014, and he’s final tabled an astounding 13 additional times in Borgata events over the last several years. If there’s a Borgata series, it’s almost guaranteed that Andrew will final table one of the events (though this would be his first in the 2016 Winter Open, should he make it that far.)
Andrew has over $241,000 in tournament winnings, almost all of it at East Coast events. The other players will need to keep an eye on Andrew as the field shrinks.

Constantine Mamakos squared off with our pool champion Allen Hopkins preflop all in, with Constantine having {Ah}[7h} and Allen {Ad}{Qs}. The board ran out {5d}{9s}{Kh}{Kc}{8c} and Constantine was left with 2,000 in chips to his name, not even enough for the ante. He did manage to quadruple up next hand, but went out shortly after in 46th place.

Just before the bubble broke, a crazy hand developed between billiards hall-of-famer Allen Hopkins and the player to his left, Bill Miller from Connecticut. They both saw a flop of {7x}{6d}{2d}, and Bill’s chips went on. Allen called.
Bill: {7x}{7x}
Allen: {Ad}{8d}
The turn was the {5d}, giving Allen the flush, but the river was another five ({5h}) gving Bill the full house. Allen is still in, but is exceptionally short stacked.
While this was happening, Sheri Moores from Wayne, PA went out on the bubble. We are now in the money.

When we hit 55, we’ll be hand for hand, which means each table will play a single hand and stop until each table has played one hand, then repeat the process until the bubble man or woman goes out and the remaining players cash.

There’s a legend among the final 90 players, at least among folks who follow the sport of billiards, or pool. Allen Hopkins is a hall-of-fame pool player who has won just about every pool championship in the books, including the US Open 9-Ball Championship, the Championship of Champions, and the International Challenge of Champions. If you’ve watched any pool on ESPN in the past four decades, odds are you’ve seen Allen run the table against someone. Wherever Allen goes, odds are he’s the best pool player in the entire room.
Right now, he’s here trying to see if he can cash in this, the final Deepest Stack event of the Borgata Winter Poker Open.
