Almog Biton’s patience has paid off as he just found a double with pocket aces against Farid Jattin.
Almog Biton has not been able to get much going for most of this final table but is still alive thanks to some well-timed pocket aces.
Biton opened the action for 750,000 and was met by a three-bet by Farid Jattin to 2,245,000. Action folded back to Biton who shoved all in for 4,050,000 total and was called instantly by Jattin.
Biton’s {ac}{as} was a massive favorite against the {ad}{kc} of Jattin. The {9d}{8d}{5c} flop gave Jattin runner-runner outs to a chop with a straight and a flush to scoop the pot. The {6d} on the turn fully brought Jattin’s outs into fruition and a look of anguish to the face Biton. Thankfully for Biton, the {10h} fell on the river and he would double up.
Jattin is still the chip leader as the levels are about to go up with players heading on a break. The remaining players and their chip counts are as follows:
1. Almog Biton – 8,272,000
2. Farid Jattin – 31,720,000
3. Hector Chevalier – 13,100,000
4. Joe Reddick – 12,760,000
5. Jason Bral – 17,625,000

Tony Cheng came into this afternoon’s final table sitting second in chips but a series of hands dwindled his stack down to less than four million coming into the new level. The last of Cheng’s chips now sit in Jason Bral’s stack as the ‘Borgata Million’ final table is now down to five players.
Bral initially opened the action to 700,000 and was met with a three-bet all in from Cheng for 3,700,000 total. After getting an official count, Bral called with {9s}{9c} and was flipping against Cheng’s {ad}{kd}.
The {qs}{jh}{8d} gave Cheng some additional lifelines with an inside straight draw and backdoor flush draw to go with his two over cards. The {5c} on the turn was no help to Cheng and the {6d} on the river confirmed the elimination.
Cheng will earn $50,085 which will exceed his total career earnings prior to today’s final table.
With the elimination, Bral now has a stack of 25,900,000 as he and Farid Jattin are beginning to pull away from the rest of the table.

As mentioned earlier, Farid Jattin has been building his stack over the last hour of play and has now moved into the chip lead at the expense of Peter Theofanopoulos.
Theofanopoulos opened the action to 600,000 and his initial raise was met by a Jattin three-bet to 2,225,000. Theofanopoulos wasted little time moving all in for 4,200,000 total and Jattin was right behind him with a call.
Jattin’s {as}{kd} was a massive favorite over Theofanopoulos’ {ks}{qc}. The {ac}{8s}{6s} only solidified Jattin’s edge and the {kh} on the turn sealed Theofanopoulos’ elimination in seventh place.
With the elimination, Jattin now sits with 22,000,000 and with a slight decrease in Jason Bral’s stack, Jattin is now the man to beat as the final six players battle for the ‘Borgata Million’ title.
Theofanopoulos’s score of $36,772 marks the highest of his poker career and his sixth cash in a BPO event.

Farid Jattin has moved up the chip count in this level and is potentially one monster pot away from being the chip leader with seven players left.
As the player with most career prize money earned at the start of today’s final table, we expected Farid Jattin to become a factor at some point. While Jattin was quiet over the early part of play, he has become more active this level and has increased his stack as a result culminating in a recent hand versus Tony Cheng.
Following a raise from Cheng to 480,000, Jattin three-bet from the button to 1,695,000. Not to be outdone, Cheng four-bet the action to 3,520,000. Jattin took an inventory of his remaining stack and moved all in for about 5,000,000 more which led Cheng to shake his head and throw his cards into the muck conceding the pot to Jattin.
Jattin now sits with just over 16,000,000 and is back in the thick of the action as play progresses.

Jason Bral (Carefree, AZ) shot into the chip lead during the last level and will look to use that chip advantage to take home his first BPO title.
Following his double-elimination in the last level, Jason Bral leads the remaining seven players as they return from break. With the blinds gradually increasing, short stacks will have to get their chips in the middle eventually if they hope to put together a run to the finish line of this final table. The remaining seven chip counts are as follows:
1. Almog Biton – 3,800,000
2. Farid Jattin – 8,120,000
3. Hector Chevalier – 7,780,000
4. Joe Reddick – 17,300,000
5. Jason Bral – 23,810,000

The theme of major hands involving Jason Bral continues as he has just eliminated two players to bring the final table down to seven.
Following a raise from Bral to 450,000 from under the gun, action folded to Mike Wilson in the small blind who moved all in for 1,600,000. Next to act in the big blind was Cathy Dever who put her remaining 5,500,000 into the middle for Bral to consider.
Bral was put to another tough decision but this time found a call with {10d}{10c} and was ahead of Wilson’s {ac}{7c} and Dever’s [As}{kc}. The {6s}{5d}{4c} flop would give Wilson a straight draw and leave Dever drawing to a king. The {2d} on the turn put a potential three-way chop in play but the {4s} on the river gave Bral the double knockout.
Bral has a massive lead on the remaining players with his 24,500,000 chip stack and will look to wield his monster chip lead as play continues.
Both Dever and Wilson will take home five-figure scores for their final table runs in this event.
Players will be on a break at the conclusion of this level at the WPO blog will have updated chip counts for all remaining players.

Following an hour of play that saw most hands result in small pots and few chip swings occurring, fireworks just erupted in a hand that saw the first player eliminated at the ‘Borgata Million’ final table.
We picked up the action on the {10c}{9h}{6h} with Bill Miller open shoving his final 2,125,000 into the middle and Hector Chevalier re-shoving for about 7,000,000 total. Action was then on Jason Bral who was anguished with his decision. Bral went as far to say this would be the “biggest fold of his life” before open folding {10s}{9c}.
Bral would see that he made the correct fold as Chevalier would turn over {6d}{6s} for a flopped set that was far ahead of Miller’s {10h}{3d}. The {qh} on the turn would give Miller outs to a flush but the {9s} on the river sealed his fate as the first player eliminated from the final table.
While Bral would have hit his full house, he still sits with a healthy 15,100,000 and Chevalier moves up the leaderboard as he now has 9,600,000.

We’re still close to an hour away from the Winter Poker Open ‘Borgata Million’ live stream final table and while it is her birthday, Cathy Dever isn’t celebrating just yet. That’s because she has a WPO title to claim, something she’ll hope to achieve starting at 4 PM.
We caught up with Dever before play started to talk about her swingy Day 2 session, her birthday and what a win in this event would mean.

‘All-Star Weekend’ is going to be packed with action and Winter Poker Open trophies but the headlining event of that weekend schedule has to be the live streamed final table of the ‘Borgata Million’. That event started with over 3,250 entrants over the course of six starting flights and after a long and grueling Day 2 session, we are now down to our final ten.
Those players will return to play down to a winner today at 4 PM, with a sizable amount of a nearly $1,300,000 prize pool up for grabs. As we do with all our final table previews, we start at the top and that is where the always dangerous Joe ‘Black’ Reddick sits with the ten-handed chip lead.
Reddick will return with just over 13,000,000 and even though the New York grinder has made some deep runs in big events over the last few years, he’ll come back with a chance to play for his best career result today. He’ll also come back looking to claim his first career BPO title, as he’s notched almost a half-dozen podium finishes to account for over $350,000 in career tournament earnings.
While ‘Black’ is a staple on the East Coast circuit and has been for a few yeas, Tony Cheng, who comes back second in chips, is announcing himself to that circuit with this run. Over the last year, he’s notched a handful of smaller, moderately successful results but regardless of where the Philadelphian finishes at this final table, he’ll be notching his best career finish today.
Had it not been for some late stumbles, Fardi Jattin might have gone wire-to-wire on Day 2. The Miami native was the chip leader when the money bubble burst and he held that standing throughout the midway portion of moving day. He won’t come back at the top of the leaderboard but just under 12,000,000 should be plenty of room for the uber aggressive Jattin to work with, as he best past 2nd, 3rd and 6th place Borgata finishes, all of which have come in BPO Championship events.
We go from a player with over $1,000,000 in tournament earnings, Jattin, to a player with almost no past major tournament experience. According to the HendonMob database, Hector Chevalier has just one career score to his name, good for $1,000 earlier this year in Florida. The New Yorker now has eleven times that locked up and he’ll likely have his sights set much higher, as he’ll return fourth in chips.
Another player with minimal past tournament experience is Jason Bral, who was the dinner break chip leader and will come back for this ten-handed final table fifth in chips. That 8,300,000 is good for right above the chip average and after spinning up a 97,000 chip stack at the start of Day 2 with big hands, Bral ran into some tough spots after the dinner break. He’s recovered well and will also return to play for the biggest tournament score of his career, regardless of where he finishes today.
We’re keeping with that same inexperienced trend, as Panagiatis Theofanopou, again according to the HendonMob, doesn’t have much of a tournament resume to draw from. That’s not surprising in events like this and if past ‘Borgata Million’ final tables have shown, it doesn’t matter what you’ve done in the past, what matters is how you play once the cards get in the air. He’s done well to get to this point and he’ll now try to continue his run towards what he hopes to be a life altering cash today.
Almog Biton was the chip leader coming out of one of the early starting flights and while he was under the radar throughout Day 2, he was able to parlay that advantage into a final table appearance. With under $10,000 in career earnings, he will also be looking to notch his best career finish regardless of where he ends up at this final table and with slightly below average stack, he could be one big hand away from contending for this title.
With 350 players left in yesterday’s Day 2 session, the majority of yesterday’s field was planning how they were going to make the money. Cathy Dever had bigger plans though, as she called her birthday shot and said that she was going to be at the live streamed final table. She backed up her 1 PM prediction and now, will return, on her birthday, with a chance to add to a lengthy tournament resume. She’s already made one final table run this series, a 6th place finish in Event 6, and when play resumes at 4 PM, there might not be a more supported player at this ‘Borgata Million’ final table.
Dever and Bill Miller will each come back with just under 30 big blinds and while they are 8th and 9th on the final table leaderboard, they’ve each showed that they are wiling to grind it out. Miller was under the radar for much of yesterday’s later levels but with the blinds and antes going up and the stacks, relatively, close from top to bottom, one hand could quickly swing both Miller and Dever into contention.
Mike Wilson was one of the chip leaders coming into Day 2 and, right before yesterday’s dinner break, he was teetering on 2,500,000. He was cut down in a sizable pot but recovered and he’ll now come back to this final table with only one way to go, up. He’ll restart play with 15 big blinds and while it’s not the best position to be in, anything can and likely will happen at major tournament final tables.
Regardless of which storylines play out today, this Event 10 $1,000,000 GTD final table is bound to be an exciting one. The WPO blog will be here to cover all that excitement and action, with more information begin posted on the blog before the cards get in the air at 4 PM. Until then, here are the final table seating assignments and chip counts:
- Almog Biton – 6,310,000
