That will do it for Day 11 of Borgata Winter Poker Open coverage! We have a jam-packed schedule of events Saturday, then the main event starts Sunday & Monday. See you then!
P.S. It’s Cathy Dever’s birthday on Saturday. Everyone wish her a happy birthday at her second final table in two weeks.

Zo Karim is all in preflop for 1,055,000. Farid Jattin thinks about it, and re-raises all in to isolate Zo, which works. Farid has {Kc}{Qd} and Zo {Kd}{5c}, so Zo is way behind. The board is no help: {8c}{4h}{Qs}{As}{8d} and Zo is out in 13th place.

Tony Cheng just busted another player with 10-10 versus 4-4. That player had three big stacks of 25K chips, putting Tony closer to nine million and the definitive chip lead. Before this event, Tony’s biggest previous cash was $4,975 at an event in Delaware. He’s guaranteed at least $8,242 in this event — and probably a lot more.
Another player went out at the other table, and there are now 13 left. Three more bustouts tonight.

Table 2 has the two biggest stacks left in the tournament. Both Tony Cheng and Hector Chevalier have eight million in chips each. Together they have 30% of the total chips in play! They seem to be pushing around the short stacks, as in a hand where Tony busted a player in 18th with {Ah}{Ac} versus {Ad}{Ks} on a {6h}{6s}{9s}{3d}{8s} board. It’s entirely possible that these two might run the table and meet heads up tomorrow. We’ll see where this goes.

We’ve learned that this event will be playing down to 10 … no matter how late it goes. Strap in, it’s going to be a late night!

On a flop of {10h}{4d}{7s}, Sam Taylor throws out 600,000 from the button. Tony Cheng re-raises all in for 2,065,000 total.
Sam goes into the tank for a long time, talking through the hand to himself. He looks at his hand several times, and after what seems like an eternity, he folds it. “Show the bluff. $50 if you show!” Sam pleads. Nothing doing — Tony mucks his hand, and Sam will never know.
Tony has over $45,000 in tournament winnings, including two cashes at Borgata. Three cashes now, regardless of how he finishes here.

The final five tables in the Borgata Million event are on a 15-minute break. There are about two more levels tonight before the staff determines what to do next. The players could play on until 10 players; they could break at 2 a.m.; or by some miracle, they could bust 30 players in two levels and end early. Watch this space to find out what happens.
