On table 1, we lose Peay to another all-in confrontation, this time on the flop, as Dave moves in with while Steven calls it off with a pair and flush draw, improving immediately on the turn and leaving Dave dead.
Sarmiento gathers in his stack, and Peay takes $57,833.
Then, Nick opens from the CO to 175,000 but David Farah greets him with the 3 to 425,000. On a low ragged flop, a cbet simply takes it from the usually combative Nick. Easy game.
Lima moves down to 3.3, while Hall has 7 million after value betting on the river for 1,250,000 on the end.
In the back corner next to the trophy is table 1, by seat, estimated chips:
- Brandon Hall 7.1 mil
- Nick Schwarmann 3 mil
- David Farah 4.5 mil
- Dave Peay 2.2 bust
- Steven Sarmiento 6.3 mil

. A king on the flop, and Raul’s 1,3 million go to Mike Cannon.
Unfortunately for Lucas, the new buzzsaw of the tournament, Daniel Buzgon, flops a set with two fours and Lucas is out for 13th and the same payout.

Table 12 John Evensen continues to lead the field, now with 550,000.
Jean Gaspard has moved to 410,000, still on 4.
Meanwhile, on dark and dirty table 1, short stack action.

Andrew Klein keeps his legendarily neat stacks in order while Nhan Cao realizes the jig is up on this light open.
Cao still has a healthy stack after trapping two big aces with a choice limp from up front with everyone’s favorite hand – beware the early limper, Doyle used to say.
At least he got some one-liners from the table, which aren’t repeatable here.
The floor has noted that the dinner break will be after level 16.

One way Borgata Poker ensures a fair game is chip security.
Counterfeits will not survive these random and specific checks.
A weird but effective line, it turns out. Limped six way to him in the big – yes, six way- he checks his option with , then leads small into the field twice on
Then, on the he checks , allowing the first EP limper to value bet, and get a call.
Now Anthony springs into action, turning his hand into a bluff with a check raise all in for 100,000.
The deeper EP limper tanks and folds, while the short stack behind puts his last 30,000 into the pot.
Anthony flips over the and stuns the early limper, who had bet folded two pair on the river, and the short stack had called with worse.
A sweet two-way bet, and a counter measure to the field. Don’t try this at home!

John Evensen, holding a resolute posture, bets in position on the river versus Eric Jaeger on table 12.
The board is paired , but it’s a limped pot, BU vs BB. What does Eric beat?
A very thin value bet or merge. Jaeger calls the 17,000 with , beating
which had flopped a vulnerable two pair. Uptick for Eric.
However, Evensen is deep, with nearly 390.000. He’s been getting involved in quite a few pots and looks to be a force in Event 22.
Then, another pot for Eric at a limp-happy table. He turns trips, lead into five players and gets paid two streets. Over 200,000 for Eric Jaeger.

Right behind is Jean Gaspard, with 350,000, here taking a breather while the action plays out on his now broken table 6. He’s now on 4.

The jammed flush draw hand has made all the difference. Instead of Ryan Hagerty with the lead, it’s the return of early chip leader Nicholas Schwarmann.
Instead Hagerty bags a decent 1,385,000. Key pot.
Following the other storylines, Day 2 big stack Chase Bianchi is still in it, with 2,760,000.
Steady Brandon Shane has 2,890,000.
Melad Marji bagged 3,350,000 after the three way felting hand.
New Borgatapoker.com ambassador Dan Buzgon has a big stack – 3,765,000. Great week for Dan.
On battling table 4, Hendrix dropped to 1,120,000, Gang moved to 4,065,000, and Brandon Hall held on to 3,870,000.
A.J. Kelsall bagged 935,000, while his antagonist Steven Sarmiento has 2,950,000 – most of those A.J.’s.
A great flight, culminating in the interesting Hagerty/Schwarmann hand.
Day 4 begins at noon. Play will start with 30 minutes left in level 24. Full counts and seating will be posted when available.
Good luck to all these great players!

Meanwhile, on the other end of the table where A.J. and Sarmiento have collided, the late levels have been good for the first three streets.
Hendrix and Gang collided as the final hands were about to be played. Adam opened to 70,000 from the BU and Gang three bet to 215,000. Only Adam called.
Gang then downbet flop to 115,000, which Adam called.
Fast check on the turn . Hendrix seems to like it but checks behind.
The river he does not like, as Gang now goes big, 380,000 into the 690,000. With his last time chip used, Adam lets the clock wind all the down then calls, only to be shown the bad news – a luck runout for the blocker 3b .
Hendrix seemed to have an underpair and in some confusion between the players and the dealer, his nines were turned up to Adam’s great displeasure, naturally.
Meanwhile back on 1, Ryan Hagerty, who had been getting the best of the table since Nick Schwarmann cooled off, has now put Nick back on top in huge collision where Hagerty makes a great hero call on the turn with second pair but Schwarmann does suck out with the nut flush draw.
Back to 4,000,000 for Nick.

As level 24 kicked off, AJ Kelsall completed in the SB, and Steven Sarmiento raised to 105,000.
Pause, and the clock wound down to near zero. “All in!” exclaimed A.J., and Sarmiento obliged by putting in a column of chips immediately.
It’s A.J.’s trap with and a natural raise for Steven with
. 2,400,000 at stake, and Sarmiento covered.
The massive pot goes to Steven as the limp raise backfires on A.J.
Meanwhile Melad Marji has chipped up huge, knocking out Nikolai Markov and Daniel Podheiser in one hand. Marji went with against the two short stacks, Markov with
and Podheier with A.J.’s hand.
Melad has 3,800,000, joining Brandon Hall at the top.
Markov could only grumble as he thought he had won, but then the river dropped, .
Nikolai takes 31st, Podheiser 30th, both $21,369.

“Just firing the gutter,” lamented Wilson.
