The only mixed-game tournament on the Winter Poker Open schedule is getting underway. HORSE will be played with five games in 8-hand rotation:
Hold’em
Omaha
Razz
Stud
Eight or Better (Stud H/L)
All games are played with Limit format betting and re-entries are unlimited until the close of registration. Players get 20,000 chips to start and levels 1-10 are 30-minutes long. Levels 11+ stretch to 40 minutes. Late registration is open until the start of level 9 (at least 8:30pm).
Since this is a two-day event, play will continue until about 2am, then survivors will bag their chips for the night. Day 2 is on tap for Wednesday at 12 noon.
This event was not on the 2018 BWPO schedule, so there is no defending champion. Back in November during the 2018 BFPO, Harry Armstrong won the HORSE event, taking home his first Borgata trophy along with $8,206. That event was a freeze-out and only had 47 entrants.
