The Six Max chip lead has changed hands plenty of times throughout this Day 1. Vincent Ciarrocchi had just moved into the lead but he wasn’t at the top very long.
Javier Zarco has overtaken the lead and is now playing just over 400,000. Zarco who is a native of Madrid Spain has quite the impressive resume and surely knows his way around the felt.
His largest career score came in the 2015 WSOP $1,500 NLH Millionaire Maker event. The field was massive with 7,275 entries and Zarco was the runner up earning $791,690 for his second place finish.
He was back in Las Vegas this past Summer and once again he booked a massive tournament score. This time Zarco took down the 1,032 entry $3,500 MSPT NLH event at the Venetian taking home over $557,000 and the title.
Zarco has now earned over $1,900,000 and will cross $2,000,000 in live career earnings with a 7th place finish or better here in the Six Max.
