Zhaoxing Wang further built his lead after his hot start against Eric Schwartz and was able to close out the second game to square their match. Schwartz was left with under 10 bets at big blind 400 and called with K♣Q♦ after Wang open-shoved from the button. Schwartz saw he was behind Wang’s A♠10♦ and would need help to double up.
The 9♠8♦3♠5♠4♦ runout secured the hand for Wang and the players are now setting up for the third and final games. Given how much history the two players have with one another after the first two games, it will be interesting to see how that dynamic plays out in the rubber match.
