Don Nunya (Biznazz) is stacking about 160,000 and his table-mates were eager to recount the hand that got him there. Don and two other players got to the turn with the board showing {8x}{4s}{2s}{8d} and the shortest-stack shoved, getting called by both Don and the third player.
When the {6x} came on the river, the third player shoved and Don snap-called. The shortest stack had pocket Aces, the other all-in had pocket 9s, and Don was holding {7s}{5s} and had rivered a straight.
Alida Veliu, who is sitting on Don’s left, said both players were yelling about it, but there was nothing they could do but pick up re-entry tickets.
Don gives credit to Alida for putting up with all the drama going on, calling her the “most tortured” at the table. She’s doing all right on her own with about 95,000.
