Players continue to fill the empty seats here in the Event Center. Blinds are up for the second level and we’ve already heard the call of “Seat Open!” several times.
Gracing the felt on Table 1 is Cathy Dever (Ephrata, PA). She’s accomplished something no other woman has ever done here at Borgata. She made it to the finals of the 2015 Borgata Poker Open Heads-Up Championship where she faced off against Anthony Zinno. In 2015, Anthony was on a hot-streak hotter than asphalt in the Nevada summer, and he came out on top when Cathy’s pocket Tens ran into his pocket Jacks. Her runner-up finish was good for $12,222 and lifted her career earnings to more than $265,000.
Tyler Patterson (Everett, WA) has been named as one of the commentators for the live-streaming of this event’s final table on Sunday. Of course if he makes it to that final table, he will be replaced in the booth. Tyler’s got more than $2.1 million in career earnings and numerous titles including a WSOP bracelet, a WPT Championship, and one Borgata Open series trophy.
