Bill “Bumpereno” Munley makes another “mix” event Final Table at Borgata, where he is a two time BPO Champion.
“Can we all just get along?” Jean Gaspard would ask, as Bill “Bumpereno” Munley would stand up from the table after losing a sizable part of his stack to Behrooz Shahrzad in a Stud H/L hand.
“Bumpereno” might be short stacked at the moment, and a little ticked off, but he’s been the ring leader for the first hour or so of play at this Final Table, keeping the conversation lively with everyone at the table, the dealers, the tournament staff and, quiet frankly, anyone within earshot.
It’s no surprise that “Bump” knows nearly everyone at the Borgata, as he’s been a regular “mix” game player here since the beginning.
He’s also a Borgata Poker Champion, with two Stud tournament wins during Opens in 2011 and 2012, as well as numerous Final Table appearances in “mix” events.
But, even though he has close to $130,000 in live tournament earnings to his name, “Bump” is primarily a cash game player, running $20/$40 HORSE games in all three of his poker “home casinos”, Isle Casino in Florida, where he spends most of his winters, Pocono Downs, near his hometown of Troop, PA and the Borgata, where he’s been organizing games for over a decade.
Short stacked, but still lively, regardless of his finish here in Event 5, “Bump” will certainly be a player to meet during this Winter Poker Open, if for no other reason than to chat with one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet in a poker room.
