Byung Yoo and Ryan Jones aren’t giving us a minute to rest here on media row and with the last few updates being about them, people tuning in late to the Event 1 coverage could think they are heads up for the title.
They aren’t as we are still six handed, but they recently just played out “Yoo vs. Jones Round III” with Yoo taking another sizable pot off of Ryan.
The action was picked up on the turn with 5,000,000 chips in the pot and the board reading {10h}{Js}{Qh}{5h} and Jones leading out for 2,300,000.
Yoo would then put in a raise, bumping the action to 6,500,000.
Jones would take a minute or so to make up his mind and then flat call to see a river.
The {7d} was a slight brick on the river, as it didn’t affect the board texture that much.
Jones would check and Byung would quickly move all-in and Jones would even more quickly slide his cards into the muck.
Byung is now sitting with close to 36,000,000 and the tension between these two is palpable, as both players are trying to gain control of this Final Table, with Byung currently holding the advantage.
Players are now on a 20 minute break and we will update you on the chip counts before they return.
