Level 38 (Blinds 400,000/800,000/100,000)
Total Entries: 4,179
Players Remaining: 4
Chip Average: 20,895,000
Final Table Hand: 75
Ryan Jones has recovered well from the upper cut he received from Elvir Muriqui as he just cut down the recently doubled up Brian Wilson to a below 1,000,000 chip stack.
Wilson moved all-in from the small blind for 10,000,000 and was snap called by Jones, who quickly tabled {As}{6c}.
Wilson would curse to himself before turning over {9c}{4d}.
It was an unfortunate spot for the clearly patient Wilson, as he’s rarely getting called by anything other than a small percentage of Jones’ range, one that he showed up with in this situation.
Wilson would need help to avoid being crippled and he would not get it as the board would run out {8c}{3d}{7h}{7d}{8h} and Jones’ Ace high would play.
Wilson would be cut down to 800,000 chips and be eliminated on the very next hand, as Byung Yoo would notch another elimination when his {Ad}{5c} would best Wilson’s {8h}{8d}.
Wilson was under the radar for much of the day, quietly making pay jumps and profitable ones, as he will walk away with just over $95,000 for his efforts here in Event 1, easily the biggest tournament score of his life.
We are now four handed for the Event 1 title, with Byung Yoo still controlling a large majority of the chips in play.
The remaining players have all locked up a six figure score, with the next player eliminated making just under $120,000.
