As mentioned earlier, 186 players bagged up chips through both of yesterday’s starting flights.
Those players advanced with a chip average of 129,000 or just over 25 big blinds when play returns for Day 2 on Thursday.
Leading the way into Day 2 was Michael Dobbs (Sayville, NY) who bagged an impressive 428,000 out of the Day 1A flight.
Also out of the Day 1A flight were the other top three stacks of Abraham Korotki (380,000), Anthony Imperial (328,500) and Ezra Rahamim (325,500).
Rounding out the top five was Day 1B leader Joseph Starrat who bagged up 323,000.
There were plenty of “notables” that advanced into Day 2, including, in chip count order, Mark Sykes (275,500), Brian O’Donoghue (250,000), Michael Melkerson (250,000), Tom Dobrilovic (212,500), Dan Wach (183,500), Andrew Klein (161,500), Ken Silberstein (151,500), Dan DiZenzo (135,000), Michael Haberman (87,500) and Joseph Felice (75,500).
