Event 12 the $400+$50 Super Stack Elevator NLH drew a total of 279 entries creating a prize pool of more than $108,000. When the dust settle it was John Caputo holding the trophy. Caputo came into heads up play holding the chip lead but Thomas Owens was able to double up to nearly even the stacks.
It was at this point the two decided on an agreement in which both players would take home $24,086. Although Caputo already holds a WSOP circuit ring this is his first BPO title.
The win here tonight also brings Caputo’s live career tournament earnings over the $300,000 mark. It was a long two days of play and Caputo tells us he’s going to get some rest but we will definitely see him back for the Borgata WPT Championship Event in just a few short days.
